The third Supporter Consultation Group (SCG) meeting of 2025 took place on 2nd July at the Mem, with fan reps and club officials getting together to discuss everything from fanzone improvements to toilet floods and Pirate Crew birthday cards.
Here’s your update on what’s going on behind the scenes at BS7:
📰 Monthly Magazine Incoming
The Club confirmed the media team is putting together a preview edition of a new monthly magazine, with more info to follow soon.
🥁 No Drum, Thanks
After plenty of feedback, the SCG voted against introducing a matchday drum. So it’s a no to the noise (for now!).
🧒 Family & Young Fans: Front and Centre
The club has made big strides to make Rovers more family-friendly:New merch for toddlers and babies is already in-store.
A dedicated family zone is coming to the fanzone, run by the Community Trust.
Children’s meal deals are being introduced with healthier drink options.
Half-time entertainment is coming back, with ideas for U16 prize giveaways and competitions.
The club is open to ideas for 12–18-year-olds, like discounts or membership schemes.
A new Family Funday is on the cards during pre-season.
⚽ Retail & Ticketing Updates
You’ll soon be able to buy kids’ tickets online, as long as their account is linked to an adult STH.
The Pirate Crew launch has gone well, but expect improvements like better birthday cards and communications.
The option to add player names/numbers to shirts is back now that squad numbers are confirmed.
The club will investigate why junior cards like GoHenry/Monzo don’t work due to alcohol sales settings.
🎵 Matchday Experience
Music choices (including walkout and goal music) are being reviewed with fan feedback in mind.
More food and drink variety is coming, think rotating matchday menus and uniform bars across the ground.
Gluten-free options are being considered for trial.
🧻 Facilities & Fan Feedback
Toilet upgrades are underway, especially in the East Stand.
The club is looking at adding a mural, goal cam shots, and even bringing back the iconic blue nets.
The PA system has been tweaked, but a full upgrade remains costly.
Glassware in bars is tricky but still being explored.
A ’round-up your purchase’ idea to support the Community Trust is being looked at.
📱 Tech & Future Plans
Pre-ordering food/drinks via an app isn’t quite doable yet due to Wi-Fi limitations.
The big scoreboard screen is nearly finished, and it’ll play a major role in fan engagement.
The Club is also working on a priority points system, half-season tickets, and fan Q&A sessions.
❤️ Inclusive & Supportive
A multi-faith Club Chaplain is available weekly and trained in mental health awareness.
The club is looking at wheelchair/walker storage and addressing issues with ticketing for non-STH families.
🕯 In Memoriam Fixture
A special fixture to honour fans who have passed away is planned for January 2026.
